Avoiding Salt Corrosion

It is inevitable that you will have to drive your vehicle during the winter. This means that you are bound to encounter your fair share of road salt, especially right before and after a snow storm.

Take care to wash the road salt off your car as quickly as you can after the storm has cleared. You should never attempt to wash your vehicle when the temperature is below freezing outside because this can further damage the paint on your car's exterior.

A great way to prevent road salt from corroding the paint off your car is to have a wax sealant applied to your car before the season starts. You should keep up with waxing your car throughout the year and washing it every week or so. This will prevent all types of harmful particles from eating away at the paint on your car and potentially rusting the mechanical parts.
