Sneak Peek: 2019 Honda Civic

The 2019 Honda Civic isn’t in showrooms yet, but below we will share some insider knowledge on the new model. Honda has plans to impress drivers with the update for the 2019 Honda Civic. They are a few new additions to the Civic, and for 2019 all models will come standard with Honda’s safety suite, Honda Sensing. The 2019 Honda Civic will come standard with a 2.0-liter I-4, which made 158 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque on the 2018 models equipped with this engine. This engine is paired to a standard six-speed manual, but CVT is also available.

A 1.5 Liter turbo-4 is another engine offered for the 2019 Civic with a power output of 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. There are more engine options available to 2019 Civic drivers depending on the trim level you choose. Features & Technology

The Civic EX and EX-T trim add a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, alloy wheels, and a power moonroof. The EX-T adds heated seats and the turbocharged engine to the 2019 Civic. The Civic Touring trim offers drivers leather seats with power adjustment, navigation, and a premium audio package.


The 2019 Honda Civic lineup has been equipped with Honda Sensing, a safety suite created by Honda. This suite adds automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and road departure mitigation. The 2019 Civic also includes a full accompaniment of airbags, stability control, and a rearview camera.

The 2019 Civic has yet to be crash tested, but the 2018 Civic Model received an overall five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
